US (TX): Aquaponics farm for sale in Cameron
The aquaponic facilities can be certified organic if you choose to do so. Currently they grow direct for the consumer and for a home delivery group that delivers mixed boxes of locally grown foods. Clients pay top dollar and do not require certification and therefore they have not moved forward to certify the farm. Having said that, they have however followed organic practices knowing that when they sold the farm a buyer might want to do so.
Produce grown in the aquaponic facilities thus far include: bok choi, tat soi, red rain mustard, mizuma, mibuna, lettuce, green onion, leeks, mint, basil, malabar spinach, dill, watercress, cilantro, pineapple (just for fun), swiss chard, kale, collards, baby beets, baby turnips, and more.
Other methods can be added to the current systems for other kinds of production. Some like to introduce shale beds to grow tubers on a larger scale or put in dead end drip systems to fruiting plants in pots or in the ground both inside and outside their greenhouse.
