Wilber-Clatonia FFA received a $1,000 Working Here Fund grant for an FFA Land Lab. The grant is provided through Farm Credit Services of America’s (FCSAmerica) Working Here Fund.

Wilber-Clatonia FFA will use funds to construct a hydroponics system unit. The students will apply knowledge and skills towards the horticulture industry in areas specific to hydroponics, plant health and diseases, nutrition and marketing.

“Students will gain knowledge and skills in plant science, horticulture, nursery landscape management, olericulture and landscape design,” said Dusten Bruss, the agriculture teacher at Wilber-Clatonia High School. “Students will also utilize skills in record keeping, decision making, marketing and sales.”
