Amit Gross of the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, Israel gave a lecture during the EU Aquaponics Hub training school on ‘Microbia-ponics : Microbial roles and dynamics in aquaponics’ at the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech Faculty, University of Liège, Belgium, in April 2016.

The training school consisted of a series of lectures and practical classes on the basic knowledge needed to understand aquaponics, the principles of diagnostic techniques of pathogenic/beneficial micro-organisms, the techniques used for characterizing microbial communities, and their role regarding plants, water and solid waste in aquaponic environments.
