CA (AB): Growing Season Extension and Small Farm Equipment Field Day

Hort Snacks in the Field presents the Growing Season Extension and Small Farm Equipment field day on June 27, 2016, at Seeds to Greens Community Shared Agriculture (CSA), at 222160 Range Road 285, at Rocky View.

“This field day will give market gardeners the opportunity to visit a market garden CSA farm to see and learn about growing season extension technologies and small farm equipment and tools,” says Robert Spencer, commercial horticulture specialist, Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. “This interactive field day encourages participants to learn from each other, as well as the host farm.”

Things get under way with registration at 11:30 a.m. followed by a lunch at noon. The farm tour goes from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and includes lunch and snacks. To register, call 1-800-387-6030 by June 20.
