UK: Salad bunkers for sale

Salad leaves and micro greens are being grown under the streets of south London in Clapham in a disused air raid shelter from the Second World War.

This disused air raid shelter has been converted into a hydroponic production facility which has only been made possible by LED lighting.

Quinton Edwards are offering to the market, via their sister company Quintons Commercial, the former GAMA Site Bunkers and Igloos in Greenham, Newbury, Berkshire.

The site extends to 1,679 sq.ft to 57,596 sq.ft. (668.89 sq.m. to 5,350.8 sq.m.). There is the possibility for growers to lease these highly secure buildings situated on a secure site with easy access to the M4 just south of Newbury, West Berkshire.
