Belgium: BelOrta announces single brand

BelOrta has chosen to use one brand for all products from now on. Consumers and professionals will be introduced to new product brand BelOrta Fruit & Vegetables. This brand will be completed with two sub-brands, BelOrta Chef and BelOrta Bio. Starting today Belgian consumers will be introduced to us through TV commercials, new packaging, a new website and on social media.

Surprisingly pleasant
BelOrta wants to highlight the pleasure of sampling locally grown fruits and vegetables. The extensive and delicious assortment allows making every meal, large or small, a feel-good moment all year round. Healthy, tasty and especially surprisingly pleasant. “With its inspiring products and consumer oriented packaging, BelOrta brings pleasure into the very homes, schools and workplaces of the consumer,” says commercial manager Jo Lambrecht. “BelOrta therefore wants to give these products the fresh look and recognisability they deserve. The Flandria label of quality, however, will be permanently added as a signature on all packaging for vegetables falling under these specifications.”



New product brands

With the simplification of communication under a single new brand name BelOrta wants to communicate even better to its customers and final consumers in the future. BelOrta Fruit & Vegetables offers a wide range of more than 120 kinds of vegetable, 30 kinds of fruit and 20 fresh herbs, of which many Belgians keep one or more in their refrigerator every week. This main brand is complemented with two sub-brands. BelOrta Chef includes a diverse and colourful assortment of forgotten, innovative and particularly distinctive products, perfect for the creative chef in us all. BelOrta Bio offers a wide range of organically grown fruits and vegetables.

Kickoff consumer campaign
“By launching specific campaigns we will present BelOrta Fruit & Vegetables to Belgian consumers. For a number of months brand-new TV commercials themed ‘surprisingly pleasant’ are going to air on the channels VTM and Vitaya. These commercials will paint a surprisingly pleasant picture of a selection of fruits, vegetables and herbs from spring and autumn. We will also launch a restyled website and a more intensive presence on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. So do not hesitate to take a look and follow us!”
