US: Backyard Farms discontinues Somerset Pink, expands cocktail tomatoes

Over the last several months, Backyard Farms has been receiving signals that customers have a preference for their Cocktail Tomatoes. So much so, they’ve decided to stop growing their Somerset Pink Tomatoes to make more room in the greenhouse for additional rows of cocktail tomato plants.

Their 42-acre greenhouse may be the largest single roof structure in the state of Maine, but there’s only room for so many plants. Backyard Farms reports that their traditional Beefsteaks aren’t going anywhere though.
