Domestically made marijuana will be available on the Czech market as of February. It is not the first that will be available, but should be cheaper than the currently available supply imported from the Netherlands.
The first batch of 10 kilograms is currently being processed by the firm Elkoplast, which is also involved in waste management, maintenance and gardening. In total 40 kilograms should be delivered.
The company got the contract in October and has already grown the cannabis, which is now being processed and will be tested for its content.
Medical marijuana has to fall within certain standards and is grown organically without chemicals such as pesticides.
