Desch Plantpak shows the three worlds of thermoform, deco and bio at IPM Essen

Desch Plantpak will be present at the IPM Essen and will have a large number of new concepts and products on display this year; “we will show the three worlds of Thermoform, Deco and Bio” says Kees Waqué, Manager of Retail and Marketing at Desch Plantpak.

Desch Plantpak is a large player in thermoform and injection moulded pots and containers. At the IPM, new thermoform trays, pots and transportation trays will be showed. Next to this, new decorative and biobased concepts and products will be introduced. Some new concepts and products are shown below:

  • 'Brand your own pot'

‘Brand your own pot’ is a concept in which the creative team of Desch Plantpak cooperates with the grower to develop a personal print for the pot. “The pots and containers are given more appeal with the addition of printing. By adding information about the plant species or expressing a certain theme or concept gives added value to the end product”, says Waqué.

  • Grow and Gow

The company's new hanging basket with water reservoir; "Grow&Gow" Nora will also be on display. Due to the water reservoir, the shelf life of the plant is extended. Therefore, the plant will flower longer and will consequently have a positive effect on the entire chain; from the breeder to the customer.
  • Restyled appearance of D-Grade

The D-Grade, is not only the most natural product but is now also a very nice pot to have in the kitchen. They are 100% free of oil components and recyclable, D-grade was launched a couple of years ago and gains a new appearance as of spring 2015. “Now, the pot also looks 'natural'”, says Waqué. Due to this new appearance, the natural grown herbs and the D-grade pot are inextricably linked.

  • Buxus, jeans of garden campaign

The Epla pot of Desch Plantpak plays an important role in the ‘Buxus, jeans of garden’ campaign of FloraHolland. With this campaign, growers and FloraHolland try to draw more the attention to the buxus plant.

All these products are shown in the ‘Colour your story’ trends and inspiration book, made by Desch Plantpak. The book is available in 6 different languages (combined French, Dutch and German and one in English, Spanish and Italian) and can be picked up at their stand (Hall 1, booth number 1E45).
