US (GA): Fayette amends greenhouse rules

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Thursday to revise regulations regarding temporary and permanent residential greenhouses.

The changes to Section 110 of the Zoning Ordinance reflect the increased popularity of “hoop houses” versus permanent structures. The Fayette Planning Commission previously approved the changes.

The new rules revise some definitions and specifications, and require a free zoning permit to make sure temporary greenhouses meet criteria regarding size and placement.
