US: Tidal Wave Red Velour wins Fleuroselect Gold

What is considered to be one of the most spectacular Petunia series, is now expanding its colour range into the reds with another Fleuroselect Gold Medallist. The deep red colour of Tidal Wave, identical to that of Easy Wave Red Velour, won the prestigious recognition for its endless summer performance, flower power and innovative new colour for the class.

No surprise, as Tidal Wave Red Velour matches Silver, already a gold medal winner upon the introduction of the Tidal Wave series. As Fleuroselect describes, Tidal Wave is “the tallest of the Wave family, a series of petunias that create an extremely full plant covered with an amazing number of blooms. Plants first grow outward, then up, and finally in both directions to make an outstanding, shrublike shape that continues to hold its form all season. An excellent landscape performer with terrific Botrytis tolerance and quick recovery from rain, the plants resist lodging so they won’t fall open and expose a bare centre like other petunias can.”

Tidal Wave is a member of the Wave family of Petunia’s, which is well supported by an extensive marketing program. The program includes pots, labels and in store promotion programs, as well as a consumer focused marketing campaign. Tidal Wave Red Velour will certainly excite the over 20.000 Facebook fans and attract more fans alike. Tidal Wave Red Velour is readily available for spring production 2015.
