US (SC): Christmas is a year-round chore for two Florence businesses

Two Florence businesses started working toward Christmas 2014 just after Christmas 2013 passed – and their hard work shows.

Forest Lake Greenhouse started in January when Tim King had to order poinsettia cuttings or risk not being able to get the colours he wanted. Taylor Garden Shop started in March when Pauline Taylor hit the road to trade shows in Atlanta to order their holiday supplies for summer delivery.

King and his crew will move poinsettias from their greenhouses into their store this week as well as wholesaling the festive flower.

Taylor, who operates a year-round Christmas shop, has been out decorating private homes and businesses for Christmas since the end of October and will roll on through the first of December.
