UK: NFU President Meurig Raymond will open the UK Brassica and Leafy Salad Conference

The forthcoming UK Brassica & Leafy Salad Conference will be held on Wednesday 28th January 2015 at the KingsGate Conference Centre, Peterborough. This conference and trade show is for all those involved in the production or allied to these significant industries from home and abroad.

The opening address will be given by the NFU President Meurig Raymond. This will be followed by two separate technical sessions, one addressing issues relevant to the Brassica sector and one on projects currently being undertaken by the Leafy Salad industry. These will include presentations from Dr Jim Monaghan of Harper Adams University and Dr Rosemary Collier of Warwick Crop Centre.

After the lunch interval there will be a programme of marketing topics addressing the different sales outlets for fresh produce, PR and health messages. Ed Garner of Kantar WorldPanel will update delegates on the current market position of the major retailers.
