The Colombian horticultural sector is currently facing great challenges. The national economy is flourishing, but costs are rising. Land prices are soaring and the Peso is very strong against the USD. Dutch knowledge and technology can help to face these challenges by improving the efficiency (less labour input) and productivity per m2 of horticultural producers. However, bridging cultural differences and adjusting Dutch products to the Colombian horticultural reality is already a challenge on its own.
