KG Systems recently set up a new herb cultivation system in the state of New Jersey in the U.S. The herb grower asked KG Systems for a system combining the best mobile growing benches with the advantages of an NFT system. The small plants are placed in the NFT growing channels.
Subsequently, the mobile platforms with the NFT channels go to one side of the greenhouse and rotate for 30 days, after which herbs can be harvested on the other side. It is a manual system that is suited to become automated step-by-step in the future. This horizontal system expands the existing greenhouse and covers 1 hectare.
