US (CA) : Innovation, entrepreneurship and investment to fuel local food marketplace

Demand for local food continues to grow apace presenting opportunities for new and existing growers to enter and further define a marketplace that has the potential to increase their economic viability, improve the surrounding environment and create local jobs. Additionally this developing local food marketplace offers entrepreneurs from technologists to experts in supply chain management and more a new economic opportunity and venue to implement new ideas and innovations that have the potential to grow the local food marketplace.

One of the great challenges that new and existing growers, innovators and entrepreneurs is securing the investment necessary to start and grow their companies in order to meet this market demand.
