UK: Changes to Plant Protection Product Applicant Enquiry handling

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is streamlining the handling of enquiries relating to plant protection product (pesticide) applications.

Enquiries are currently handled by the HSE’s Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD), who are the UK Competent Authority for plant protection products.

To ensure a more consistent enquiry handling process for general enquiries relating to pesticides and pesticide product applications, we ask that in the first instance enquirers refer to HSE’s Pesticides Website (www.pesticides.gov.uk).

The Pesticides Website remains the primary source of information for applicants and others, and includes an updated ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ area, which will be reviewed on a regular basis.
