TransAkt announces partnership with Taiwan Flora Seed International

TransAKT Ltd. has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Taiwan Flora Seed International Co. Ltd. ("Taiwan Flora").

Over cultivation of farm land has resulted in increased soil depletion and erosion. A comparison of U.S. Department of Agriculture nutritional data from both 1950 and 1999 for 43 different vegetables and fruits, shows "reliable declines" in the amount of protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin C. The fruits and vegetables are less nutritious now than they were fifty years ago.

To meet global demand for food conventional agriculture depends on the use of new varieties of crops, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers to provide greater yield, pest resistance and climate adaptability, but also leave dangerous residues on the food produced. Washing and peeling may not be enough to keep your family safe, as some pesticides are absorbed into the plants tissues. The good news is that using TransAKT's hydroponic technologies we don't need pesticides to grow our fruits and vegetables.

TransAKT is focused on eliminating the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides through the use of the latest hydroponic agricultural technology and pure nutrients. The nutrient solutions used in production with TransAKT's hydroponic systems leave no heavy metal and chemical residues.

Established in 1985 Taiwan Flora engineers flower bulbs, young plants and seeds, and they have introduced new varieties and innovative cultivation technologies to growers in Taiwan. Taiwan Flora now operates potted plant nurseries, specialized in growing potted orchids, in Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam and culture labs in Taiwan and China. In 2011 Taiwan Flora built new greenhouses occupying over 4.6 hectares at "Taiwan Orchid Plantation" in Tainan where they produce twenty million young potted orchids annually to meet worldwide demand.

Taiwan Flora is an agricultural technology solution provider that supplies not only finished products, but also training and assistance to customers to setup greenhouse facilities and to successfully market their products. We expect annual revenue for Taiwan Flora will exceed USD $20 million in 2015.

"We are committed to providing the safest and cleanest fruits and vegetables through the use of our latest hydroponic agricultural technology," explains James Wu, chairman of TransAKT. "Through our partnership with Taiwan Flora we're excited to be able to offer premium quality orchids and flowers all over the world. I expect that our combined expertise in agricultural technology will ensure that TransAKT is profitable in 2015."
