AU: Horticulture industry body get new name, new image after damming review of practices

Horticulture’s governing body has a new name, leadership and structure. A major overhaul of Horticulture Australia Limited, a not-for-profit, industry-owned research and marketing body, was rubberstamped by Federal Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce yesterday.

The organisation will now be known as Horticulture Innovation Australia.

Its new board will include Victorian orchardist Susan Finger, NSW blueberry grower Ridley Bell and Queensland onion grower David Moon. Council of Rural Research and Development Corporations chairman Selwyn Snell will also sit on the board.
