UK: Firefighters tackle fire at commercial greenhouse in Hadlow

According to kentonline.co.uk, last Friday firefighters were at the scene of a large blaze at a commercial greenhouse in Hadlow.

Around 30 firefighters in six engines were called to Bertie's Wood Fuel in Court Lane at its height.

The fire started in a single storey greenhouse being let out by Hadlow College, measuring around 60m by 30m.

Crews in breathing apparatus were using four hose reels, two jets, a hydrant, light portable pumps and a water shuttle to put it out.

By mid-afternoon on Friday, firefighters were still tackling the fire, which is not thought to have caused structural damage.
