US (OR): Fall Creek Farm & Nursery adds to the Brazelberries Collection

Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc. unveils its latest addition to the BrazelBerries Collection, Pink Icing blueberry.

With breathtaking spring and fall foliage, Pink Icing is sure to standout in any garden. Spring brings a lovely new foliage colour that has varying shades of pink mixed with blue and deeper greens. In winter, Pink Icing’s foliage takes on a stunning iridescent turquoise blue foliage hue, which looks striking when planted en masse.

This ornamental beauty is a wonderful complement to Peach Sorbet, another BrazelBerries blueberry variety with foliage ranging from peach to pink to orange to emerald green. Planted together with Pink Icing as a backdrop and Peach Sorbet in the front, these two beauties are sure to provide year-round colour to any landscape. Perfect for small spaces on patios or decks, Pink Icing will grow 3-4 feet tall with a slightly spreading habit. Enjoy its large, sweet berries during mid-summer. Grow in zones 5-10.

The BrazelBerries Collection of new berry shrubs is bred specifically for home gardeners. They are simple to grow, offer year-round beauty and produce delicious, abundant fruit. All BrazelBerries are self-pollinating, so only one bush is needed to produce fruit. Pink Icing joins the other blueberries in the collection, Peach Sorbet, Jelly Bean and Blueberry Glaze.

Initial quantities of Pink Icing will be available in 2015 exclusively to independent garden centres through the BrazelBerries network of wholesale growers. Growers will offer retail-ready Pink Icing plants in a branded one-gallon or larger containers with an informative tag.
