US: We Grow Dreams greenhouse in West Chicago supports young adults with disabilities

For young adults, hitting developmental milestones such as learning to drive, getting a job and earning a paycheck is a rite of passage. For young adults with developmental disabilities, however, that road is typically a bit more bumpy.

Thanks to three families searching for job opportunities for their young adult sons with disabilities, a greenhouse up for sale in West Chicago blossomed into nonprofit We Grow Dreams Greenhouse and Garden Center, a year-round greenhouse operation that offers job training and coaching to individuals with disabilities.
