Belgian strawberry grower Marc Munters wins Haifa’s iPhone 5S

Strawberry grower Marc Munters of Hamont-Achel (BE) has won the Scan&Win promotion of Haifa. He has become the winner of an iPhone 5S. The Scan&Win promotion is visible as a QR code on different Haifa fertilizer bags. After scanning the code on a bag Multi-K GG, Munters came on the action page on the site of Haifa. There he signed in for the iPhone 5S.

On the website, the grower also downloaded the app FertiMatch™. This app helps growers to determine the right amount of fertilizer needed for a desired composition. The application has an easy to use interface. All you need is to insert the relevant information - fertigation system setup, desired element and concentration and the fertilizer you use - and the app will instantly calculate the amount of fertilizer needed in order to achieve the desired nutritional composition.

Well-founded application

Munters: "What I have seen so far, it is a well-founded application. I should take more time to actually use the app." Surfing on the Haifa website Munters also found a fertilizer specially developed for the production of cherries. "It was a pleasant surprise. In addition to 12,000 square meters strawberry in greenhouses, I recently started a trial with planting five hundred cherry trees for outdoor cultivation. With this fertilizer I could probably produce more quantity and quality of cherries."
Besides Multi-K GG, Munters uses in his strawberry cultivation also Haifa MKP. The strawberry grower is charmed by the good solubility of the Haifa fertilizers. With my watering system, the solubility of the fertilizer is very important. “The Haifa fertilizers contribute very well to my requirements."
