Monthly growth in prices for vegetables made up 56% in Azerbaijan

Official statistics disclosed a strange price dynamics in the Azerbaijan’s food market and reported that in August growth in prices for vegetables made up 56%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in August prices for agricultural production grew by 2.3% against July, including 8.6% for crop production. Rise in prices was especially big for cucumbers (55.9%), watermelons (32.1%), green beans (24.4%) and tomatoes (21.2%).
