First greenhouse complex to be built in Russian Baykalsk in a year

A large greenhouse complex for growing vegetables is to be built in Baykalsk, Russia, by September 1st, 2015.

This is the first step in creation of agricultural complex in Baykalsk that will comprise several agricultural enterprises. The implementation of the project is led by the Ministry of Economic Development.

As told by the Mayor of Baykalsk Vasily Temgenevsky, a suitable land plot that fulfils all the requirements and possesses the corresponding infrastructure nearby, has been found. Total area of the plot is 12 hectares: 4 of them will be occupied with greenhouses, 1 ha with buildings, and the rest is for agricultural development, which will attract investors.

The greenhouse complex will create more than a hundred employment positions. The complex will be built on the basis of public-private partnership, 500 million roubles (about 10 million Euro) are planned to be spent.
