Russia: Fides varieties steal the show at the International Festival of Flowers

The 14th edition of the International Festival of Flowers took place at the Pavlovsk State Museum in St Petersburg on 26 and 27 July. The festival is famous for being one of the biggest and most beautiful flower events in Russia.

This year the theme of the festival was War and Peace to mark the 200th anniversary of the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in Belgium led by Russian tsar Alexander I. For this event Fides provided around 1000 stems of chrysanthemums which, under the guidance of well-known Russian flower arranger Alexander Bermyakov, were used to help make this two-day event a resounding success. Among other things, he used the well-known chrysanthemums Bacardi, Arctic Queen and Pinot Blanc along with pink Prada.
