The company Ulma AgrÃcola has presented a new tunnel type greenhouse model in response to the needs expressed by its customers in tropical climates, especially of central Africa.
The new greenhouse model is called High Tunnel. It is characterised by its high suitability for installations in tropical climates, which require a strong protection from wind, rain and diseases.
The product's standard dimensions are 8 metres wide and 4 metres high, with a 3.5 metre modulation between arcs, allowing for a large open interior volume for cultivation.
Although the top is usually covered with plastic, the fronts can also be protected with either mesh or plastic and be provided with roll-up side ventilation.
The new High Tunnel greenhouse offers a protected space for cultivation while providing the usual strength, robustness and quality of the products manufactured by Ulma AgrÃcola, with an affordable cost to rural communities, thereby helping boost socio-economic development and food self-sufficiency.
