Broken Arrow rose nursery owner wins Young Retailer Award

You could say that many things are coming up roses for Karen Gardner and her budding business.

This 24-year-old entrepreneur behind Roses Inc. Green Country LLC in Broken Arrow recently attended the awards ceremony at the Cultivate'14 trade show in Columbus, Ohio, where she received the 2014 Green Profit Young Retailer Award from Green Profit Magazine and AmericanHort, a rose industry support group.

In September, Green Profit Magazine is planning a cover article on Gardner and her business.

It’s an honour and accomplishment that Gardner never would have imagined for herself, considering that four years ago she was studying studio art at New York University. She also had completed an international baccalaureate and lived in the south of France.
