Russia’s first Ultra-Clima was officially opened February this year. This greenhouse, built with KUBO’s Russian partners KVR Greenhouse Projects and FITO, is the first greenhouse with the Ultra-Clima concept in this part of the world. The project, called Lipetsk Phase one is already a success.
Co-owner Dmitry Lashin has already discovered the benefits of the Ultra-Clima. In this greenhouse the consumption of energy reduced by approximately 50% compared to the traditional greenhouse. The 4,2 acre greenhouse not only consumes less power but also produces more tomatoes. Due to the increase of production labour got a bit behind schedule so the beef tomatoes are ‘slightly’ bigger than usual. This is now corrected but it gave some nice pictures.
At this time, Lipetsk phase two is being shipped. The greenhouse will expand with another 5.2 hectare Ultra-Clima® concept. At the end of September this phase will be in use.
