UK: British Growers Association announces apprenticeship vacancies are now being advertised online

Sainsbury’s, British Growers Association and Staffline Agriculture have joined together to develop a bespoke intermediate apprenticeship that matches enthusiastic young people within Sainsbury’s diverse supplier base in the Horticulture industry.

Through the Sainsbury’s scheme, apprentices will gain hands on practical experience within our farmer and grower base, working on real issues that face our Horticulture supply chains throughout the UK.

Rob Honeysett, Horticulture Manager of Sainsbury’s says “With our long history of supporting British farmers we’re always looking for ways to drive the future of British farming. I’m pleased to announce that there are a number of vacancies now being advertised on the National Apprenticeship Services (NAS) website for opportunities at various farms in Lincoln, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Kent, Hampshire, Shropshire and West Sussex.

We’ll be carrying out the initial recruitment and selection process leading onto interviews for successful shortlisted applicants in July.”
