"GreenTech is most important international show for professionals nurseries"

GreenTech ended very sunny for a curious industry, awaiting the visitors of the first edition. GreenTech presented 298 exhibitors from 23 countries. Exhibitor feedback to date has been very positive. GreenTech was perceived as a bustling event with plenty of serious business. Vibrant networking, knowledge sessions and social events added an extra dimension to the show.

An international audience of 8,153 decision makers visited the show in three days last week. International visitor attendance was 41% versus 59% national. “The atmosphere has been great, with attendance level and quality reinforcing the fact that the concept of GreenTech stands firm,” said Exhibition Manager Mariska Dreschler, “Especially the first two days the international audience was overwhelming, on Thursday most visitors where from the Netherlands.”

Mr. Fabio Camisa of Da Ros from Italy called GreenTech “the most important international show for professionals nurseries”. “GreenTech is certainly the place to be,” said Mr. Mickael Lescoet of Spid, France, “We have established contact with so many visitors from all over the world, especially Asia and the Middle East.”

Other exhibitors spoke highly of the combined dates with the Vegetable and Flower Trials, offering international visitors another reason to visit the Netherlands in June. They also mentioned the high decision making level underlined by the fact that every single visitor was an important business contact, where other shows attract also “sightseers”.

“GreenTech has been put on the map with this edition and we have established a solid base to expand in 2016 with trade-only quality visitors offering global opportunities.” according to Ids Boersma, Managing Director RAI Exhibitions, “Launching an international tradeshow happens very rarely in the world of exhibitions and that makes this first GreenTech even more special to Amsterdam RAI.”

Future confidence runs high. Over 50 exhibitors pre-booked stand space for 2016 before GreenTech 2014 drew to a close. There could have been no greater vote of confidence for the first edition.

The next GreenTech will take place 14-15-16 June 2016 in Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands.
