US (NY): Report focuses on opportunities to protect clean water in Long Island

American Farmland Trust has released Cultivating Clean Water: Leveraging Farm Bill Funding to Aid Suffolk County Farmers in Protecting Water Quality, a report to help Long Island communities and farmers pursue new conservation funding options made available through the new Farm Bill. The report highlights nine strategies for leveraging the nearly $1.3 billion in funding from the newly created Regional Conservation Partnership Program to assist farmers in permanently protecting their land from development and protecting water quality.
