France: Project with 27 hectares and 80,000 solar panels well underway
In the south of France, work is currently underway on a remarkable project: 27 hectares of greenhouses with an electrical capacity of 18 MW. What makes it so remarkable? Its size, namely 27 hectares extending over 12 locations, and the integration of 80,000 solar panels.
The client and investor is the market leader in the field of solar energy. The project is primarily intended to generate solar energy through solar panels. However, to kill two birds with one stone, cultivation is also taking place in the greenhouses. Twelve growers from the south of France have made their land available. They can therefore continue their cultivation in the greenhouse, but the solar energy generated is for the investor.
