Development of organic production will help to minimize impact of human activities on the environment,” Frank Ebinger, Programme Manager for Promotion of Sustainable Economic Development of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) said at a session of the Parliament Committee for Agrarian Policy. As the expert noted, Kyrgyzstan should seek formation of internationally recognized certification. "It will also be one of the conditions for export of goods to the Customs Union countries. Promoting organic production, we will reduce the dependence on external supplies of fertilizers, health risks, and adverse effects on the environment, which will increase the income of farmers. Today, our organization supports the development of production of organic apricots, medical herbs, the active participation of Kyrgyzstan in international exhibitions, it also works on rising of public awareness about the organic farming industry," Frank Ebinger said.
