Dutch pepper grower invests in solar panels
Earlier this month, Dutch company Westland Zonnepanelen installed a brand new solar panel system at pepper grower Gro-Ter in De Lier. The installation has a capacity of 48,000 Watts spread over 192 solar panels of the brand Yingli Solar. The installed capacity provides the nursery with about half of its total power consumption.
"Investing in solar power is a feasible venture for Mr. De Groot, considering the many tax benefits such as EIA and KIA. It is also possible for entrepreneurs to write off half the investment at an accelerated rate, at least till the end of this year. Sustainable entrepreneurship was also an important consideration. The current trend is that more and more customers want their suppliers to come up with sustainable solutions."
"Previous experiences with our company prompted Mr. De Groot to purchase this system at Westland Zonnepanelen. Both in terms of pricing and quality, Westland Zonnepanelen offers a solid and affordable alternative to other market suppliers currently active. The applied inverters are supplied by the German brand SMA instead of those produced by Chinese companies, and the mounting system is provided by Van der Valk Solar Systems."
