The main products are kiwis (from November to May-June; around 200 tons from 6-7 hectares), watermelons and mini-watermelons (from June to August on around 4-5 hectares with a greenhouse-polytunnel-open field cycle). Strawberries and greenhouse (around 3 hectares) and open field vegetables follow.
At a domestic level, the company's most important client is the NaturaSì chain. Organic produce is washed, graded, packed and labelled by the company, which always plans its productions according to its sales possibilities. Generally, products are packed in 6 to 10 kg packets and in crates with a pre-set weight, for example crates for carrots contain 8 to 10 kg, those for tomatoes contain 6 kg.
For the future, Salvatore underlines the need to keep in step with the times, update, specialise and invest: "Companies need to innovate, those who stop are lost!"
