Nov 6-8, Aalsmeer, The Netherlands:
Loads of inspiration available at FloraHolland Trade Fair
During the Trade Fair in Aalsmeer on November 6 - 8, visitors can find plenty of inspiration. For example, at the marketing plain of FloraHolland: The Village. The Village forms the heart of the fair and displays striking new developments The Village presents potential sales channels that are new to the sector, like fashion and perfumes. An emphasis is also placed on sensory marketing. This is a new idea within the marketing sector. It has hardly been explored on the shopfloor in the floral displays. Commercial visitors can experience how the consumers' buying behaviour can be influenced by addressing their senses. This sensory marketing is integrated in shopfloor solutions for supermarkets, garden centres and florists, aiming at important consumer profiles.
There is also an actual laboratory on site at The Village. Researchers from the research centre Fytagoras show commercial visitors how plants contribute to a better living and working environment. For years, Fytagoras has been exploring the effects of plants on the living environment. At The Village commercial visitors can learn about this and see for themselves in an experimental set-up how rapidly a plant can break down dangerous substances. For growers and chain partners, it is certainly interesting to take a peek at how they can contribute to getting a plant in 'top-condition'. During the Trade Fair commercial visitors can also visit the Cash & Carry Waterdrinker Fair (part of the Trade Fair). In 'Our World of Plants', Waterdrinker in collaboration with Fytagoras shows that plants can communicate.
