Dutch company Globe Plant is one of the nurseries that is GSPP certified. Johan Grootscholten has been busy getting the coveted certification for a few years now. Through this certificate, the customer is assured of clean planting material. Globe Plant strives to make this insurable by means of a ‘contingency fund’. With each outbreak of Q-organism, the discussion is renewed. "We strongly support such a motion," says Johan.

Geothermal heat
Next to this, Paul Grootscholten has been equally busy with the realization of geothermal energy in the company. Unfortunately the project was suspended for a year. In mid-October more will be known. Paul: "As far as we can see, we expect to go geothermal in 2015. Geothermal energy is the future. Gas is only a temporary solution and is also expensive and above all unpredictable.”
