Europe: Growers positive about vigour and generative nature of Syngenta's Overture
In 2012 Syngenta's new pepper variety Overture came out strongly in trials. This year the variety is cultivated in greenhouses. According to Syngenta, the growers of Overture are very pleased with the performance of this new breed. The vigour and generative nature of this variety allows for swift cultivation. This creates regularity in the setting and the energy distribution remains balanced. This will lead to the desired coarseness and fruit weight in the summer months. Also, the fruit quality thus remains constant at a high level.
Additional advantage of Overture is its resistance against blossom-end rot.
