Koppert Cress is continuing its global expansion with the opening of a 1 ha production unit next Winter in central Japan, near Mount Fuji. They have already been established in the US for over 5 years, acquiring a 20 ha farm and investing in a 1.5 ha greenhouse production unit of aromatics for America. “We are currently supplying the East Coast. We have a tremendous amount of work to do with the rest of the country,” reveals Rob Baan, founder and managing director of Koppert cress on the website of Eurofresh Distribution.
The company today has 10 ha of the most advanced growing system in the Netherlands, 180 employees and 62 items on the market. Its turnover is €20 million Euro.
