Interesting report available on labour saving technologies for horticulture

Vineland Research and Innovation Centre prepared a very interesting review report on labour saving technologies for horticulture for Canada's Horticulture Value Chain RoundTable Labour Working Group Innovation Sub-Committee.The object of this report is to describe the state of the industry in horticulture automation technologies by reviewing the technologies currently available and those under development. The makers also developed case studies for key segments of the horticulture industry to identify needs and gaps for technologies. Finally, they provide some recommendations to enable both the edible and ornamental segments of Canada’s horticulture sector to reduce labour-related costs and thereby enhance their productivity, competitiveness, and long-term viability within both domestic and international markets.
