Mexico: Dispute with Florida over tomato export continues

The disputes over the export of Mexican tomatoes to Florida will eventually lead to less tomatoes being produced in the next season.

Manuel Antonio Cázares Castro, President of the Committee Ejecutivo Nacional del Sistema Producto Tomate (national executive committee of the production of tomatoes) announces that even if the prices are better at the end of the season, the producers will still have insufficient markets for their tomatoes, leading to a reduction in produce.

Mexican producers are concerned about the disagreements with Florida, a conflict that could lead to the continued dumping of harvested goods.
