Belgium: REO Auction now sells pot chrysanthemums

As more and more Flemish growers are producing pot mums, REO Auction will start vending the flowers online. Starting in August, buyers will be able to purchase their chrysanthemums with a click on the mouse. 

The chrysanthemum is one of the more successful export products from West Flanders. About 90% of chrysanthemums from West Flanders are exported to other countries. Chrysanthemums in West Flanders differ in diameter, rigidity and uniform flowering compared to production abroad. Export destinations include: 

• Germany

• Austria

• Switzerland

• United Kingdom

• Italy

• Spain

• Sweden

• Finland

• Norway

• France (mainly in October)
