Spain: Plenty of peppers from Murcia on the European market

Murcia won’t soon forget this year’s season: until the end of June peppers were being distributed to Germany and other Northern countries. Up to this point, distribution to the chains in France and Eastern Europe is still in full swing.

Even though the supply from the Netherlands is high, the quality pepper from Murcia has a strong competitive edge for many importers and chains.

Recently, the average auction price was higher than 90 cents. This means that the market demand persists, and export is still taking place to various destinations.
