A company in the Netherlands will provide the Ryazan oblast with innovative technological equipment and technical systems for the construction of an agricultural complex. In 2011, in the Rybnovski region, the complex was partly put in use for storage and processing of vegetable products from agricultural company Ungor. Recently the second phase started. In addition, Russian engineers are taught by foreign specialists in maintenance and repair of equipment.

Future plans

Currently, the agricultural complex has the storage capacity of some 8000 tons of vegetable products. When the second phase is completed this year, a capacity of 16,000 tons is expected. The intention is to up capability to 49,000 tons in the future. In addition to storage, a production hall for processing vegetable products will be built.

In 2012 the gross proceeds of open ground vegetables was about 96 thousand tons. This year that number should exceed 115 thousand tons, even more in the future. If all goes as planned, this will be the biggest agricultural complex in Western Russia and many growers will be able to produce without worrying about finding a market.
