Regional spokesman and executive Cristina Teniente recently announced that Sofiex will invest two million euros in tomato company Tomcoex, in order to support the business.
Cristina Teniente justified this financial injection by citing the need for the expansion, development of new activities and commercial positioning of the company with the launch of a series of new products. Moreover, she says, the incentive will give a boost to the "improvement of the commercial structure and the integration of other regional cooperatives."
Extremadura has a large share in the global tomato production.
