Colour, taste, uniformity, compactness, long shelf-life are the characteristics, among many others, that make Alan F1 a true "green masterpiece".
This indeterminate growth plant is very rustic and vigorous and it has a medium-early cycle. The large number of leaves helps protect the fruit.
Fruits are conical-oblong, smooth, dull-green and the average weight is of 130-150 grams. Their exceptional compactness and long shelf-life mean that they are resistant to both handling and long distance transportation.
Alan F1 is also TYLCV tolerant, and therefore it has various benefits:
- It can be transplanted outside without the need for nets or plastic
- Certain and successful results
- Less need for pesticides, which is positive for the environment
Visitors could witness and evaluate the qualities of such a fruit, which can be cultivated throughout the year. Thanks to their own experiences, growers were able to explain the good characteristics of the variety.
Southern Seed also took advantage of the event to showcase its range of products: Novecento F1 and Presidente F1 tomatoes; Libertino F1, Ceryto F1 and Ipparino F1 cherry tomatoes; Frankone F1, Mistral F1, Centonove F1 and Casero F1 yellow peppers; Durendal F1, King F1, Edad F1 red peppers and Venere Nera F1, Glora F1, Wanda F1 and Bella Vittoria F1 aubergines.
Once more, Southern Seed proved how agriculture is the primary activity and that, by choosing high quality products, growers have a main role in guaranteeing social health.
A thank you goes to Emporio Agrario for the hospitality and to local commercial farms, technicians, dealers and nursery gardeners for taking part and making the even successful.
