Peru: Homegrown hydroponic vegetables hit the market

Lettuce and tomatoes grown in Peruvian households (using hydroponics), have recently hit the markets. In honour of this fact a gourmet feast was held in Lince (Peru).

The products were produced by a group of neighbours. They all took part in the class ‘growing with hydroponics’, under the Techo Verde program. The initiative was supported by the municipality in cooperation with the Agraria La Molina University.

On the event participants and guests could taste several dishes, prepared with lettuce and tomatoes from the project.
