New Smart Pepper Tray saves a lot of logistic expenses and space

Smart Packaging Solutions (SPS) produces about 75,000 tons of massive carton packings annually. Recently the company introduced the new Smart Pepper Tray. "We were very happy with this development and therefore immediately started to use it" Paul Hendriks, packing authority at Eosta, is of the opinion. "As a market leader of organic and fairtrade fruit and vegetables we continually look for innovations for our products." Paul is the architect behind the personalized boxes of Eosta. Our growers are proud of their product. They want to show this and radiate this on the packing by individually showing each product" he tells.

Sustainable and innovative

When SPS at the end of last year developed a new ready-to-use pepper tray this was like music to the ears of Eosta. "At the start of this season a test project was begun and the peppers from Eosta are very successfully packed on the new Smart Pepper Tray. This tray is simple to open and stacks perfectly. Also it is supplied as a ready-to-use packing with the result that a lot of logistic expenses and space are saved. As a lid is no longer used one works cost efficiently for the company and it is also good for the environment," Johan De Neef, Business Unit Manager SPS stresses. This project fits perfectly in the philosophy of both companies: sustainable entrepreneurship."

"The Smart Pepper Tray is an extremely strong box. With a compression value of 3.0kN this box can be used for long distance transport. SPS have the possibility to overprint this box with a nice photo print (off set). We have in the meantime also the Smart Aubergine Tray in our assortment. "At the moment we already have quite a number of projects from abroad in our portfolio," Johan concludes.
