B-E De Lier and Elektro Limburg join forces

B-E De Lier, specialist in the area of water technology, electrical engineering and process automation in professional horticulture, and Elektro Limburg, installation company for climate control, electrical engineering and irrigation, are set to join forces from 1 June 2013. From that date, B-E De Lier will take over all Elektro Limburg activities for professional horticulture. Elektro Limburg will further specialize in the industry, mushroom cultivation and cattle farming. Both companies will work intensively together by combining a pool of professionals, sharing technical knowledge, product development, the production of components, and purchase, in order to offer optimal horticulture solutions both domestically and internationally.

Increasing scale

A few months ago B-E De Lier and Elektro Limburg held initial discussions about joining forces. Both parties are of the opinion that the international horticulture sector is going through huge developments, of which increasing scale is the most remarkable. As installer of these large-scale horticulture projects, both companies see the need to grow with their clients. In addition, it seems that the horticulture sector often reinvents the wheel, which means that the costs at the various installers are sometimes made twice. The merger will therefore lead to a more cost efficient organisation. As an answer to systems which are becoming increasingly complex and the need to be able to continue to offer qualitative and quantitative service provisions, it is majorly important to gather the craftsmanship. Both Elektro Limburg and B-E De Lier are important players in the market of international glasshouse horticulture.

Continuity guaranteed

In view of the fact that the company culture of both companies show major similarities, the expectation is that the combining of forces will run smoothly for clients and staff members. Even more so with Elektro Limburg owner Patrick Gijsbers making a number of hours available to supervise the merger. This guarantees continuity for clients and staff members. With this step and the associated client group of growers, all knowledge and technology is in house to be able to realize the projects in the area of irrigation, electrical engineering, climate control and operation professionally: innovative and affordable solutions where quality improvement, capacity increase and improved flexibility is achieved.
